FAQs
Do I need an appointment?
Currently, yes—all piercings are by appointment only.
We’re not accepting walk-ins at this time. Please book your appointment online or call us to schedule. This allows us to give every client our full attention, follow all health protocols, and keep our studio running smoothly. Thank you for understanding!
Can I bring my own jewelry?
No — we only use brand‑new, high‑quality jewelry that meets strict material and safety standards. Using outside jewelry introduces risks we can’t guarantee, so we don’t install it during the initial piercing.
Note: Once your piercing is fully healed and we’ve verified its condition, we can install your own jewelry for a small service fee.
Can I bring a friend?
Yes! You’re welcome to bring one friend for support. To maintain a calm and professional studio environment, we ask that you avoid bringing large groups unless they’re also getting pierced or receiving a service.
Can I bring my kids to my appointment?
It depends. If your child is well‑behaved and can sit quietly, you’re welcome to bring them. However, if you anticipate distractions, we recommend arranging childcare so the studio environment stays relaxing and focused on your piercing.
Do you use needles or piercing guns?
We only use single‑use sterile needles for all piercings. Needles offer greater precision, comfort, and reduced trauma compared to piercing guns — they’re the professional standard, which we adhere to.
Are you Texas‑compliant and licensed?
Yes — Rambo Piercing is fully Texas‑compliant and operates under state health and safety regulations. Our studio is veteran‑owned, nurse practitioner‑led, and committed to transparency and professionalism at every step.
Can minors get pierced at Rambo Piercing?
What paperwork do we need?
Yes, but strict Texas laws apply.
If you’re under 18, you can only be pierced with parental or legal guardian consent—no exceptions. Here’s what’s required by Texas law:
Parent or legal guardian must be present during the procedure OR you must bring a notarized Parental Consent Affidavit (downloadable here).
Both the minor and parent/guardian need valid government-issued photo IDs.
The consent form must specify which body part is being pierced.
We keep these records on file for at least two years, as required by law.
We will not pierce minors without all required documentation and a parent/guardian on site or notarized affidavit.
You can download the Texas Parental Consent Affidavit here.
